Adventure Elements Sea Kayak Expeditions 2012

Anglesey Expeditions

Introduction to Expedition Paddling.

This two day course will give people new to sea kayaking a taste for overnight trips. We will guide you through the basics of planning your trip, equipment selection, interpreting the weather forecast, boat loading and tips on paddling a loaded boat. We will paddle about 7 - 10 miles before setting up camp at one of the many stunning camp spots on the island where you will be guided through setting up a camp, what to cook, fire building and maybe even a spot of fishing. This is an ideal course for people looking to plan their first sea kayaking trip. Although the two days are aimed at people with limited sea kayaking experience you will get the most from the course if you have done a beginner weekend or similar.

Bushcarft Skills for Sea Kayakers.

A fantastic two day sea kayaking trip aimed at kayakers wanting to get to grips with basic bush craft skills. As well as looking at trip planning and equipment selection you will be guided through fire building, foraging for wild foods, catching and cooking fish and we will also discuss how we can minimise our impact on the environment. This is a two day trip with one overnight camp.  Although this trip is aimed at everyone you will need to have done a few days in a sea kayak before.
